Robotaxi: First time a robot car without a driver drove on a busy road, watch the video

Zoox, a subsidiary of Amazon, has announced the successful completion of its first self-driving car trial. Even this testing process is carried out jointly by the employees of the company. They were present as passengers of the car. The Robotaxi has been driven on a public road between two buildings in California, USA.

Jux is an American company that manufactures cars from scrap. Who manufactures fully self-driving vehicles. The strange thing is that there is no steering wheel in this car. It has seating for four passengers. There are seating areas facing each other. The main goal of this technology development is to create significant precedents in the respective fields.

Jux CEO Aisha Evans told Reuters, "We are delighted to have tested the vehicle on open public roads and proven its suitability for use in a variety of applications. This is definitely a big step. But ultimate success will only be achieved when it can be adapted for commercial use.”

This is the world's first example of a driverless design robotaxi with passengers on public roads. However, Evans has not given any information about the timing of the launch of this car. Incidentally, in 2020, Amazon, one of the world's e-commerce companies, took ownership of Jux for 1.3 billion dollars or about 10,760 crore rupees.

Meanwhile, Jux chief technician Jesse Levinson said, “The company is on track to hire 2,500 workers this year. Earlier this year, the company had fewer than 2,000 employees. Currently, this self-driving vehicle is increasing our value in the market. Who knows, maybe we've become all-in on robotics!”
