Hyundai Exter SUV bookings start at just 11 thousand, can it replace Tata Punch?

Hyundai (Hyundai) is confused by the preparation of opponents in the SUV car event. Therefore, the South Korean company announced the start of advance bookings in the domestic market before the launch of the micro SUV Exter (Exter) to compete with other models including Tata Punch. 

The car is being booked from all authorized dealerships of the company in the country for Rs 11,000. The Hyundai Exter sits above the Grand i10 and Aura in the company's lineup, but below the Venue.

Hyundai Exter bookings open

The five-seater Hyundai Exeter will go head-to-head with various cars in the domestic market. These include – entry level variants of Tata Punch, Citroen C3, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. The car will soon make its debut in several international markets including India. The micro SUV model will reach all showrooms in the country within the next few weeks.

The architecture of the Grand i10 Nios and Aura is also used in the Hyundai Exter. It has a 1.2 liter NA petrol engine to provide the power to move forward. From which maximum power of 84 PS and torque of 113 Nm will be produced. This same engine is also present in i10, i20, Aura and Venue. The car can be optioned with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT.

The entry level SUV will be offered in various fuel options. The 1.2-litre petrol engine will have a factory fitex CNG option. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. Again, the Exter's cabin features share numerous similarities with the Grand i10 Nios.

Hyundai Exterior Features

Hyundai Exter's feature list will include touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, multifunctional steering wheel with mounted controls, a semi-digital instrument cluster, multiple airbags on top-end variants. While the car shares exterior similarities with the Casper, some contrasts are also noticeable.
