Same WhatsApp account can be used on 4 phones simultaneously, the much awaited feature has arrived

Finally, the company introduced the facility of using the same WhatsApp account on more than one phone. How will it work?

Good news for WhatsApp users, the feature of using the same account on multiple phones is finally coming after a long wait. In fact, even though this instant messaging platform introduced a feature called 'Multi-Device Link' a couple of years ago, most of the users did not benefit much from it, as there was no option to log into their account on more than one phone (just like Facebook). . But after users repeatedly said this, the now Meta-owned company has rolled out the feature of using the same WhatsApp account on four other smartphones at the same time. As announced by Mark Zuckerberg, this feature is available from today to make it easier to use WhatsApp in busy lives or emergencies.

You can use your WhatsApp account on four phones at the same time

Until now, WhatsApp allowed users to log into their account on a phone as their primary device and use it on a computer, web version or tablet. However, the company recently announced in an official blog post that from now on users will be able to link their WhatsApp account to up to four additional smartphones if required and use the primary phone to authorize the secondary device. This will make it easy to access all their messages, photos and other media on the secondary device/devices. But for this there will be no problem with the security and privacy of WhatsApp users; As always, all chats will be end-to-end encrypted.

According to the company, the account login process on other phones will be similar to using WhatsApp Web – users will need to scan a QR code for now when the feature is rolled out to everyone, though later this means the company's OTP for WhatsApp account logins on other phones. (OTP) based authentication system will be introduced. Note, WhatsApp also said that if the primary phone on which the account is logged in is inactive for some time, access to the account on other devices linked to it will also be automatically logged out. But as we said earlier, even if users don't have a primary phone in hand, the new feature will allow them to access important information and chats of their WhatsApp account. It does not require the primary phone to be switched on or have an internet connection on it.
